Masada Group is a leading provider of pre-approved consumer credit data and custom analytical processing primarily serving the insurance and mortgage industries. Masada provides critical data and processing services to companies such as AIG, H&R Block, Accenture, LendingTree, 21st Century Insurance, and others.
TechSafari completely re-architected Masada's data processing platform to dramatically increase batch processing throughput, provide additional features, and migrate to newer and cheaper commodity hardware. The new processes and software systems have reduced days and weeks of processing down to hours on less expensive hardware configurations. In August 2003 Masada Group Technologies contracted with TechSafari to outsource all systems administration and support. Datacenter relocation and service transition was completed on-time and on-budget.

- Produced a suite of tools to measure batch job performance, performance of the services that enable the customer service application, and identify potential scalability issues.
- Reduced the processing time for the extract and load processes of billing system data for the data warehouse by over five times.
- Tuned over a dozen generic billing system data layers improving the performance of both batch processes and the customer service applications. These improvements ranged from five fold to ten fold increases in performance.
- Tuned over a dozen billing system reports being produced during end-of-day or end-of-month. These improvements ranged from two fold to fifty fold increases in performance.
- Identified and produced workarounds for processes affected by
an I/O latency problem that a new hardware platform introduced.
Increased the performance of the extract and load processes of
billing system data for a data warehousing and reporting database.
The most "expensive" process was rewritten to produce
a twenty fold increase in performance.
